The 3.06GHz iMac is certainly the fastest iMac yet, but it is in its graphics performance that MacWorld feels it really separates itself from the rest of the range. Featuring a new Nvidia graphics card with 512MB of RAM, this is finally a step in the right direction and sure to give casual gamers considering Apple's system another reason to take a closer look.

Value for money: 4 out of 5
Computer Active felt that there’s nothing especially outstanding about the latest version of the iMac, but it does at least prove to be a rival to a PC in the value for money front rather than just on design.

Powerful and elegant, Personal Computer World felt the iMac compared favourably with similarly priced PC rivals. One downside of the system however is the rather underpowered graphics card however, the other extras such as built-in webcam, Bluetooth and draft-n wireless are much more welcome components.
