4.5 out of 5 stars
The Radeon HD 6850 is not the best graphics card on the market in terms of pure performance, but its value for money is nearly unsurpassable. PC Advisor's tests saw it compete almost head-to-head with the more expensive HD 5850 in speed, and it also compared favourably to other cards in power consumption. |

3.5 out of 5 stars
The AMD Radeon HD 6850 is on the market for a very attractive price, but there are still cards available that are better value for money. The power consumption has been reduced but the clock speeds are a bit snail like and the shader count is lower affecting raw performance. Tech Radar were pleased with the Eyefinity technology. |

"favoured" (8 out of 10 points)
Value for money: "recommended" (9 out of 10 points), "Recommended" Bit-Tech say that they were anticipating a massive leap in the performance level of the new Radeon HD 6850 graphics card but they didn't receive it. They found it most useful to compare it to the GTX 460 and really, it is hard to divide them on achievements, they rank so closely together. The HD6850 has slightly less power consumption and better thermals. It works as a tool to force prices and will help to knock the mid-range crown from Nvidia's head. |

"very good" (5 out of 6 stars)
Value for money: "excellent" (6 out of 6 stars), "A List", "Recommended" PC Pro deemed the Radeon HD 6850 to be the best-value mainstream graphics card available since being shifted to the mid-range. When tested against the similarly priced GTX 460, the 6850 was quicker in virtually all of the tests. And although it loses frame rates compared to the 6870, the price difference makes up for this. The price makes this the best mid-range card available. |

"Best Buy" Expert Reviews loved the Radeon HD 6850, saying that it produced almost the same performance as its more expensive stablemate, the 6870, and fared better than Nvidia's more expensive GTX460 1GB. With its combination of low price and fantastic graphic power, the 6850 is a winner for anybody wanting to upgrade from an older card. |
