Value for money: 4 out of 5 stars If a business style laptop is what you're after then the Acer TravelMate 8481T is a nice choice for the traveling office. Although the battery is a weird shape, it is still a desirable machine. Light weight at only 1.7kg, this laptop has a great battery life at 11-hour runtime. The TravelMate has an average processing rate and its screen is visable in a range of different lighting. |

The Acer TravelMate Timeline 8481T has a 14inch screen in a lightweight, durable chassis that would usually accommodate a 13 inch screen. It's a shame the resolution isn't higher. The chassis is made from magnesium-aluminium, so it feels well protected. The FineTouch keyboard has a lot of flex and ZDNet say the keys feel like they could easily come off over time. |
