"spectacular" (9 out of 10 points)
Despite the thin, Air-like profile Acer's Timeline Aspire 4810T has an overall mediocre design aesthetic. Lack of ExpressCard and eSATA are also problems, but the formidable battery life, quality screen and performance make it an undeniable bargain.

A somewhat conservative and unremarkable design is all that can be faulted in Acer's Aspire 4810T notebook. Some users will miss the lack of dedicated graphics card but with a battery that will last an intercontinental flight the compromise is worth it.

Thin, with more than adequate componentry for daily needs and battery life of astounding length, Acer's Timeline Aspire 4810T laptop includes touchpad with gestures and 16:9 screen. Speakers are average and viewing angles tight, but for portability, performance and battery life this is unparalleled.

"very good" (5 out of 6 stars)

The looks of Acer's Aspire 4810T are less appealing once it's opened up, and performance too is average. The battery life though, at almost 9 hours makes a spectacular difference. Next to Sony VAIO VGN-Z21MN/B, it is underpowered, heavier and less stylish, but at around half the price it's worth considering.
