"Kingston DataTraveler Micro Reader"

On test: Kingston DataTraveler Micro Reader
We looked at Kingston's DataTraveler Reader last year and were reasonably impressed with it. While the internal memory was a little sluggish and the build quality left something to be desired, those qualms where overruled by the great price and the fact that viewed simply as a portable card reader it still made for a brilliant product - adding 2GB of flash memory to that was just the icing on the cake. One year on and we have what might easily be referred to as the DataTraveller Reader's little brother, the DataTraveler Micro Reader.    More

On test: Kingston microSD card (2GB) with USB Card Reader
It's all very well memory cards getting smaller and smaller, but that doesn't then help when it comes to connecting them to older devices like your laptop. One of the smallest cards available is the MicroSD card. Smaller than your little finger's fingernail, the card can carry up to 4GB and be lost in an instant. But if you manage to keep it longer than a gambler with his pot of cash in a casino then getting it connected to your PC when it's not in a phone is near impossible. Why? Well because most memory card readers won't take them unless they are tucked into standard SD card and then if you do opt for this option you've still got to carry around a SD Card reader. So in steps aptly named Kingston 2GB Secure Digital Flash Card with MicroSD Card Reader.    More

Laptop? Check. Camera? Check. Dangly USB memory card reader? Oh drat ... If you use a MacBook Pro the odds are that you don't want to have to haul around lots of extra bits of equipment all the time. Fortunately if you want to be able to read memory cards from your camera, PDA or mobile phone, now you don't need to pack yet another device and cable in your bag. Griffin's ExpressCard 34 Card Reader slots into the MacBook Pro's ExpressCard slot, turning it into a memory card reader slot without any external dangly bits to snap, break or forget.    More
