Despite praiseworthy build quality and a smooth, tonally balanced delivery the PSB Alpha B1s don't have the goods to compete with some of the class-leading speakers at this price. What Hi-Fi? found detail a little lacking and the undefined soundstage failed to fully give the impression of actually being there.
