"good" (4 out of 6 stars) Value for money: 3 out of 6 stars
Nikon's D60 doesn't really have any stand-out features. PC Pro concedes it is capable of taking good pictures, including HDR images with the new Active D-Lighting feature but it just doesn't come off well when compared to some of its rivals.

4 out of 5 points
MacUser suggest that the D60 could be the perfect camera for those trading up from a compact or bridge as its high-end feature set and stabilised kit lens all come at an impressively low price and is easier to use than some other cameras on the market.

"The best in its class" (5 out of 5 stars) Value for money: 4 out of 5 stars "Silver Award"
Digital Photo put the D60 forward as a great starter camera for those looking for the easiest-to-use DSLR on the market. Unfortunately, this ease of use comes as a slight detriment to experienced users who may find the need to access the menu for even common settings to slow them down too much.

4 out of 5 stars
The entry-level D60 carries a 10-megapixel maximum resolution and dust protection system. It is a swift camera that is ready to go at lightning speed and is capable of shooting in various styles. Whether it be point and shoot or if you would like to access more advanced options, the D60 is designed so that users can move quickly between these. In MacWorld's opinion it all adds up to a perfect D-SLR for those looking to upgrade from a digital compact.

"good" (4 out of 6 stars)
PC Pro Magazine argues that rather than fool yourself with specifications, it is important to remember that the D60 does do its job well and on that basis you won't be disappointed. A great new feature that can not be seen in any other manufactur's line-up is the D60's ISO Auto mode. This allows you to have control over maximum sensitivity and minimum shutter speed. PC Pro Magazine thinks that the ISO Auto is great because it allows you to cater to your own ability. This can be very helpful to for entry-level photographers who are looking to self teach.

"Very Good" (7,2 out of 10 points)
CNet.co.uk thought that the D60 had made some great improvements when it comes to performance but overall the D60 does not impress for the price being asked for it.
