Canon's HF10 is described by PC Pro as the first 'truly great' AVCHD camcorder created. It matches or betters HDV-based camcorders and its smaller size works well in its favour and its extreme affordability for what you get makes it a hell of a deal.

Canon's first dual flash-based camcorder produces excellent HD video quality and performance all achieved in a compact package. CNet.co.uk believes that the only aspect you have to think about is whether to go for the HF 10 in black or the HF 100 in silver.

TrustedReviews.com thought that the HF10 was without a doubt the best AVCHD available from any manufacturer. It is a highly desirable camera that has everything you could want from a camcorder. It really is the camera we've all been waiting for.

The camcorder was put to the test in 4 magazines and came away with mostly good reviews.
The best review that the Canon HF10 could rack up was "excellent" (6 out of 6 stars), which was given by PC Pro magazine in 8/2008. MacWorld magazine (10/2008), gave the product its lowest score; a rating of 3 out of 5 stars, which says a lot about its quality.
The Canon HF10 was also able to walk away with the "Recommended" (PC Pro 8/2008) prize.
