Product information and further reviews
Review: Magnat Quantum 1003 shelf speaker - elegant universal talent at a fair price Area DVD 1/2011 - Costing 1100 euros a pair, the brand new Magnat Quantum 1003 speakers should top the wish list of any discerning stereo fan looking for a top-quality set of speakers which take up little space. This speaker, which is available in black (with stained walnut side panel and high-gloss finish) or white high-gloss (with natural walnut side panels and high-gloss finish), comes with a two-way bass reflex build and a continuous output power of a hefty 140 watts. Intermittent performance peaks of up to 220 watts are a piece of cake for a speaker model with a sensitivity of 90 dB (2.8 V/1 m). The Quantum 1003 is designed to deliver an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms and comes with frequency response ranging from 28 to 75000 Hz. At 11.2 kg, it’s quite a heavy unit; its dimensions are (WxHxD) 230 x 360 x 315 mm. Our review will reveal whether these speakers performed well in our practice test and whether both the 170 mm mid-range driver and the 25 mm tweeter could deliver the goods.

What Really Matters stereoplay 3/2008 - There are countless floor standing brand speakers for a maximum of 1500 Euros per pair. But the enormous product range doesn’t exactly make the decision easier. Review details: Six floor-standing speakers were reviewed and rated 4 x “good - very good” and 2 x “good”. Among the test criteria were sound, measurements and valency.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing HiFi Test 4/2007 - Once upon a time, the name ‘Magnat’ probably only stood for average quality products and was therefore avoided by customers. At least since the outstanding performance of the Quantum series, especially the multiple-award winning Quantum 907, the image of the Pulheim speaker manufacturer has been properly polished. The investment into new and expensive measurement equipment, has fully paid off. The latest current Quantum 705 shows that time has not stood still and that Magnat’s engineers are not resting on their laurels. Review details: Single Test. Test criteria were sound, laboratory and practice.
