"Sony SRS-GD50iP 2.1 speaker system review"
1 Speaker (approx. £120)
Expert Reviews
Published on 3/2010
On test: Sony SRS-GD50iP
"Sony’s SRS-GD50iP has a compact subwoofer, but it’s the satellites that really catch the eye – they’re small enough to easily fit inside a mug. A separate wired iPod dock is included. Music played by a connected iPod is played through the speakers, and you can even synchronise your player with iTunes on your PC if you connect the USB cable." Expert Reviews
Published on 3/2010
On test: Advent A51BCSB09
"Advent's A51BCSB09 5.1 surround sound speaker set is cheap at just £40. The included instructions state that the satellite connectors on the back of the subwoofer are colour coded for easy set up, but they weren't on our sample. The connectors and the corresponding satellites are all labelled though, so installation is straightforward as long as you ignore this documentation mistake." "Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra MX6021 review"
1 Speaker (approx. £290)
CNET.co.uk
Published on 3/2010
On test: Altec-Lansing Expressionist Ultra
"Altec Lansing's Expressionist Ultra MX6021 speaker system currently sits at the top of the company's stylish 'Expressionist' line, which also includes the Expressionist Classic, Expressionist Bass and Expressionist Plus. Of the four models, the Ultra is the only one of the bunch that Altec designates primarily as a 'gaming' PC-speaker set on its Web site. The Ultra earns that designation for being a brawny, 2.1-channel system that features a 6.5-inch, front-firing subwoofer and 200W of sound. It's available online for around £180."
