Coming complete with a Freeview+ tuner, 160GB hard drive and solid quality in image, colour and motion, JVC's LT-26DE9 26" LCD TV represents a good choice in this field despite the weak dark levels.

Sony Bravia KDL-26V4000

"group test winner"

A comprehensive range of connections.and with the Bravia engine to take care of colour and motion, Sony's KDL-26V4000 has little lacking. Motion and black levels could be better, but that isn't enough to stop this being the Group Text Winner.

Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10

Despite the uninspiring case, Panasonic's TX-L26X10 26" LCD TV has some commendable features. Three HDMIs, SC Card slot, Eco mode along with good black levels. Viewing angles are a bit tight and the price isn't the cheapest.

LG Electronics 26LG3000

Inexpensive and with looks that don't look the expected price, LG's 26LG3000 26" LCD TV even does well in performance, with sharp HD and acceptable upscaling. Sadly the colour is not natural, motion handling poor and dark levels not acceptable.
