PMC FB1i
10 out of 10 points
"group test winner"
|
AV Review was tremendously impressed with the FB1is, finding their transmission-line design to work very well indeed and gave it a vice like grip on all musical styles even the fastest paced, highest energy tracks. Build quality was also very good but the design was rather restrained.

Dali Mentor 5
9 out of 10 points
|
The Mentor 5 speakers from Dali exhibit excellent build quality that more than matches their price tag. AV Review found their performance to also live up to their price tag with an expressive high-end and good stereo image and bass didn't seem to suffer too much from the smaller cabinet either.

Dynaudio Excite X36
9 out of 10 points
|
AV Review reports pleasing performance with the Excite X36. Bass was well defined yet powerful and build quality certainly won't disappoint. A large room may be needed to achieve the required clearance but if you can accommodate them, the website suggests these will provide hours of exciting, involving pleasure.

JBL LS60

The LS60 are capable of a very cohesive, detailed sound with impressive volume levels and a well controlled, powerful bass. AV Review had some qualms with build quality, which, at the price, could be better.
